Simon Waddington - Partner

Simon is a law graduate from the University of Sheffield, who has completed post-graduate studies at the College of Law in Chester and the University of Ulster. 

He commenced his career as a legal editor with a publishing company in London and then joined a specialist legal recruitment firm as a consultant, serving law firms operating in the City.  He joined MERC Partners in 1995 and became a partner in 1999.  He has successfully managed a wide variety of executive search assignments for clients in most sectors, to include indigenous, multinational and state-sponsored companies.  He has a particular specialisation in executive search for legal, governance and risk management professionals.

Simon sits on the international Board of IIC Partners and is the Vice-Chair for the EMEA region.  MERC Partners is the Irish member firm of IIC Partners.
