The Housing Infrastructure Services Company (HISCO) is a new commercial joint venture between the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and Cork County Council which will seek to provide a competitive “Design-Build-Finance” service for developers of strategic housing sites of scale. This service will relate to the provision of on-site infrastructure on planning-approved sites. A number of initial pilot projects have been identified in Cork with the intention to then scale HISCO to target other strategic sites and ultimately to offer the service on a national basis.
MERC Partners has been retained to advise on the appointment of the CEO which will follow the incorporation of HISCO.
Reporting to the Board of HISCO, the Chief Executive has overall responsibility for the leadership of the organisation and the delivery of its strategic plan. The position requires a candidate of exceptional calibre to lead the organisation during its establishment and to successfully deliver its core business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of senior management experience in construction management, infrastructure planning/ development and/or residential property and will have a proven track record of leadership at both an operational and strategic level. A collaborative leadership style, strong commercial skills, entrepreneurial flair and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships will be the hallmarks of the person appointed.
Candidates are likely to hold a third-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
