Our client is an innovative medical device company designing, producing and marketing worldwide angioplasty catheters and stents for coronary and peripheral use.  The company now seeks to recruit a Product Development Manager with extensive experience in the device industry, ideally in the field of interventional cardiology or interventional radiology products.  The ideal candidate will have a number of years’ experience running a product development team or a number of significant product development projects.

Clear evidence of effective project management experience and capability is required.  The candidate must have superior interpersonal skills and show evidence of an ability to communicate effectively with doctors or senior corporate clients.  A history of innovation in devices or device technology is required, possibly evidenced by patents in the candidate’s name.  The candidate must be capable of not only leading the product development team, but also working effectively within the management team, to set product development strategy and goals in the context of commercial targets and priorities.
