The appointee is likely to have a strategic marketing / proposition development background that has been honed within fast-moving, technology-based commercial sectors. Possessing a sharp and incisive business intellect, candidates will be able to demonstrate how they have repeatedly applied their powers of strategic analysis and their ability to interpret customer insight / market intelligence to formulate market-shaping, commercially compelling propositions for a substantial B2B client-base – i.e. substantial in terms of the volume of clients, diversity of market sectors served as well as the overall sales value (ideally of the order of €50m plus per annum).
Apart from playing an integral role in determining the optimum go-to-market strategy for the organisation to achieve its targeted sales growth, market share and profitability; candidates will also be equipped with a senior executive marketing skill-set that will enable them to direct the design and execution of the various marketing plans and channel campaigns that will support the roll-out of the business strategy, and instinctively adjudge how best to enhance these programmes in real-time in response to competitor activity and market dynamics.
