Head of Sales
Our client is a global leader in the ICT sector with a brand that is synonymous with quality, engineering excellence and innovation. Employing nearly 100,000 globally in more than 180 countries, the company has a long established and significant presence in Ireland with global technical/service/support functions operating from Ireland in addition to a country sales organisation. The company has been through a significant restructuring process globally, one of the objectives of which has been to create stronger regional operations and the Irish sales organisation is now part of strong Western European business unit.
A new position, Head of Sales is being created. The person appointed to this key senior role will be positioned to better leverage the deep expertise within the company across all commercial relationships. The company is focusing increasingly on key enterprise clients and the Head of Sales will establish a central strategic and commercial focus in the business that covers both its traditional market in addition to these new vertical market segments.
Applicants must have significant senior management experience in the international telecoms / IT sector and will have exceptional proven sales management capability. They must be business leaders with the vision to create business opportunities in strategically important areas, and the ability to work with the customer to identify, sell and agree the business benefit to the customer's business with a profitable arrangement for both parties. The ability to operate and communicate at a strategic level and to build trust and influence of the C-Suite level managers across the customer base is essential. In addition, the appointee must be able to build a strong internal network at a senior level and must possess strong social competence and relationship skills for long term business benefit. A strong entrepreneurial approach to business will be essential, with the ability to create innovative solutions to complex business issues and continue the approach of becoming a trusted business partner of the customer in a new area of service evolution.
