Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology to join its manufacturing operation in Ireland. This is an opportunity to join at a particularly exciting time in the company’s development as the Irish operation will become the corporation’s centre of excellence in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and will be the launch site for its strong late stage biotech product pipeline.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage the facilities and organisational capabilities to commercialise and optimise the new product portfolio
• Develop this organisation so that it becomes a highly capable and flexible engine to deliver new products to market
• Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Corporate R&D, regulatory authorities, State agencies and academic institutions
• As a member of the biotech management team, share ownership for the overall development and success of the biotech business.

 Required Qualifications & Experience:

• A PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related discipline
• A minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience in the development of MaB processes, technology transfer and support of manufacturing operations
• Strong interest in both the science and manufacturing of large molecules
• Proven ability to build a technical organisation that delivers results and to effectively influence within and beyond the organisation.
