DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONProfessional Educational Membership Body, DublinReference DOE-68821The overall objective is to lead and deliver the strategic development of the organisation’s Education and Training function with a view to developing and enhancing the qualification in a national and international setting. This is a key appointment and requires well honed leadership and management skills with a track record of achievement in the management of learning and development, ideally gained within a professional body environment. Rebuilding and enhancing the relationships with the providers of the organisation’s qualification will be an initial and ongoing challenge of the role. In addition, working with relevant bodies to ensure the qualification remains recognised coupled with an ability to develop and lead educational change will be important. Commercially aware, an ability and a proven record in developing and bringing new products to market will be crucial in the ongoing development of the positioning of the organisation. Prior experience of managing a team is another important aspect of the role. The Director of Education will manage a team of professionals, five in all, across the following departments: registration, examinations and student services with the relevant budgets and revenue lines.
Commercially astute business drivers with strategic vision and flair, candidates must be good communicators with the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with the multiple providers/colleges who deliver this organisation’s courses across the country, North and South.
