Our client is a leading general construction and civil engineering firm with a significant presence in Ireland, the UK and across Europe.

Building off the platform of an existing anchor project, the organisation now wishes to substantially expand its presence in Northern Ireland by opening an office in the greater Belfast area from which it will base its local management team, grow its business and serve its local clients.

Degree-qualified with a civil engineering, building construction, quantity surveying (or similar) background, candidates for this country leadership role are likely to have worked in the Northern Ireland construction sector for at least 15 years. 

Ideally, candidates will have progressed to Director or Senior Management level for at least 5 years in a main contracting environment (civils or building) and will have demonstrable experience of leading teams to win, manage and deliver a portfolio of multi-million pound projects profitably.

Given the seniority and general management nature of the role, a pre-existing network of industry relationships will have been built up in the course of successive project life-cycles, joint venture activities as well as through on-going industry development and collaboration efforts.

Possessing proven commercial instincts and an entrepreneurial spirit, the appointed person will be a natural business developer and someone who has the highest levels of drive, energy and people-leadership skills to deliver a successful outcome for their clients and long-term profitable growth for the organisation they represent.
